Your driveway carries the most weight of any concrete at your home. A Purpose Construction forms and pours new driveways, full replacements, and extensions for homes around St. Petersburg and across Tampa Bay. We handle the whole job: tearing out the old slab if there is one, grading, a compacted base, forms and reinforcement, the pour, and a broom finish that gives tires and shoes grip.

Most driveway problems start under the concrete. Tampa Bay soil is sandy and the summer rains are heavy, so a slab poured on a base that wasn't compacted, or that sends water the wrong way, settles and cracks. We cut to grade, compact the base, reinforce the slab, slope it so water runs off, and cut control joints at the right spacing so any cracking happens at the joints instead of across the middle.
